Spring is coming quickly, which means your seasonal allergies will be rearing their ugly heads soon enough! The unmistakable itchy and watery eyes, runny nose, coughing, and more can be difficult to deal with during spring. Sometimes, it feels like allergy medicine doesn’t do its job and we are left feeling fatigued by our allergy symptoms. If you’re ready to do something different this year, we want to hear from you. Keep reading to learn more about protecting yourself from seasonal allergies with our Seasonal Allergy Clinical Study.

Do You Suffer from Seasonal Allergies?

In many areas of the United States, spring allergies begin in February and last until the early summer. Tree pollination begins at the earliest in the year, followed by grass pollination later in the spring and summer and ragweed in the late summer and fall. In tropical climates, however, grass may pollinate throughout a good portion of the year. Mild winter temperatures can cause plants to pollinate early. A rainy spring can also promote rapid plant growth and increase mold, causing symptoms to last well into the fall.

The most common culprit for fall allergies is ragweed, a plant that grows wild almost everywhere, but especially on the East Coast and in the Midwest. Ragweed blooms and releases pollen from August to November. In many areas of the country, ragweed pollen levels are highest in early to mid-September.

Find Relief in Our Seasonal Allergy Clinical Study

There are many things you can do to help minimize your seasonal allergy symptoms. Taking showers often, keeping windows and doors shut, avoiding pollen, and keeping up with an allergy medicine regimen are all helpful. However, for many people, seasonal allergy symptoms will still find their way and affect everyday life.

If you want to try something new this year while getting compensated for your time and travel, Respiratory Disease Clinical Trials wants to hear from you! We are looking for people navigating the ups and downs of seasonal allergies without relief from current treatments, are curious about new, potentially life-changing treatment options, and who want to make a difference in the world of medical research.
